FEAST, VISITATION OF THE VIRGIN MARY TO ELIZABETH

ZEPHANIAH 3:14-18
LUKE 1:39-56

The Magnificat is a hymn of high praise to God for the wonders the Lord has done. This should be the prayer of all Christians. We should proclaim the greatness of the Lord in our lives. Do we see his goodness? The fact that the Lord comes and visits us and considers us worthy of the Savior despite our sins and human frailties should have us rejoicing already.

Why should we be honored with a visit from the Lord? The Lord visits us every time the word of God is proclaimed. We only need eyes to recognize His footsteps in our daily lives. His presence is felt in all the events in our history. God is the ultimate equalizer and justice maker. He is the ultimate showcase of love for mankind, specifically for you and me today! In today’s reading, the Lord visits us and welcomes us to do His will. Let us rejoice!

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
