  Monday 7th Week of Easter
- Year II

ACTS 19:1-8
JOHN 16:29-33

http://www.usccb.org/nab/051710.shtml

During this Easter season, there is only one definite and lasting truth in the world. It is the fact that Christ has conquered the world. Given all the problems of the world, man panics. We all panic when our money disappears, or when our family starts to have personal problems that cannot be solved with money alone. We are afraid when we feel signs of aging, or when we become sick which remind us of our limitations. In all the “crosses” of our lives, Christ comes to shout to us: “Courage!”

Christ knows of our hardships, but he invites us to be brave – to be courageous. Christ is with us – he never abandons us. The timing of the Lord is perfect. There will be times when we are ready, that hardships will surely come, not to destroy us, but to purify us and for us to see the glory of God. The Holy Spirit will give us a peace that the world cannot give. And we will experience a taste of Heaven, the Divine and believe that Christ indeed is the Son of God. When we experience severe anxiety or worries due to our problems … let us ask ourselves this question: Surely Lord, you have given me this difficulty for a reason….give me courage that I can be assured that there is a reason behind all this. But also give me the surety that truly you have conquered the world and you will conquer this problem for me and with me also!

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
