ACTS 15:22-31
JOHN 15:12-17

How reassuring for us to know that Christ had chosen to die for us simply because He loves us. This is why He asks us in return to have the same regard for others – that we love everyone as He loves us, unconditionally even unto death. Are we willing to ‘die to ourselves’ whenever anyone hurts us? Can we really forgive them in the same manner that Christ did to those who put Him to death? Moreover, are we capable of loving them again even after they have done terrible things to us?

Calling us friends instead of servants by virtue of our intimacy with the Father which Christ Himself encourages puts us in Christ’s inner circle and our greatest distinguishing mark should be our love for one another. Let us be worthy of these gestures by manifesting these blessings in the way we live our daily lives.

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
