ACTS 15:7-21
JOHN 15:9-11

http://www.usccb.org/nab/050610.shtml

In the reading from Acts of the Apostles, Paul and Barnabas had trouble with the other brothers regarding circumcision among non-Jews because according to the Law of Moses, unless a man is circumcised he cannot be saved. Peter and James stood by Paul and Barnabas, claiming that God gave the Holy Spirit to anyone just as they had been given, making no distinction among people, cleansing their hearts through faith. The four brothers believe that the non-Jews shouldn’t be given such difficulty since the laws of Moses are taught and recalled in every place.

One of the things that God ever wants us to learn in our lifetime is love. And a big part of it is acceptance. He does not look into what we have done in the past because He already spread His arms wide open to us in spite of what we are … even before we were born. Here is eternal, unconditional love at no cost—just believe in Him.

In reality, practicing unconditional love towards each other is difficult because of the many circumstances that the world can get us into. Each day, we are faced with many tests, some of which we may not even be aware of; situations that making us resign instead of protecting our best interests. We must remember that Jesus came down as a human being just to show us that we too can love unconditionally. Let us remember to pray always; nothing is impossible with God.

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
