ISAIAH 42:1-7
JOHN 12:1-11

In order to carry out His plan of salvation God sent His Servant. This title expresses the most mysterious aspect of His redemptive mission. This title is given to many men like Moses, Abraham and His prophets, but the Servant par excellence is Jesus Christ.

Who is Christ the Servant? He is a master meek and humble of heart. He announces salvation to the poor, the one who serves. For our redemption he gave up his life, accepted to be treated like a criminal and died on the cross. He is the Lamb unjustly slain. Yet he is the Son of God. This is a mystery of how we are saved. Christ did not come to reestablish a temporal kingdom but to enter into his glory and to lead his people there by passing through death. Peter and Paul announced that it is precisely this reason that the Name of the Holy Servant of God crucified and risen is the only source of salvation. Just as there is The Servant there are also servants of God. The Virgin Mary is the first one and followed by his apostles. We can be counted too among his servants if we too share the same path of Christ our Master.

Finally, we pray for one another, for those who have asked our prayers and for those who need our prayers the most.

Have a good day!
